Movie Goers Return for Second Helping of ‘Chance of Meatballs’
Posted by on September 27th, 2009The book-turned-movie, ‘Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs,’ came in at No. 1 at the box office for the second weekend in a row, pulling in $24.6 million.
The animated film beat Bruce Willis‘ new action film, ‘Surrogates,’ that grossed $15 million. The dancing film ‘Fame’ opened at No. 3 at the weekend box office, making $10 million.
Matt Damon’s new comedy ‘The Informant!’ dropped down to No. 4 while in its second weekend in theaters, pulling in $6.9 million. Meanwhile, ‘Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All By Myself’ still managed to stay in the top five, grossing $4.8 million.
