George Clooney is putting together a telethon in support of victims of Tuesday’s earthquake in Haiti.

The event will be broadcast on all MTV channels as well as ABC, NBC, HBO, CNN on Friday, January 22nd from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. EST. The details are still being worked out in terms of which stars will appear and which charities will benefit.

Other stars to show their support for those suffering in Haiti include Clooney’s friend Brad Pitt and partner Angelina Jolie, who donated $1 million to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontiéres.
