Jay Leno reportedly spoke out on Monday’s "The Jay Leno Show" about what led to the late night shake-up at NBC and what the future may hold for "The Tonight Show."

The Associated Press reports that Leno took a serious turn on his show, declaring that he had tried to avoid doing a primetime show before ultimately being convinced to do one by NBC.

According to the AP, Leno said that he may be headed back to the 11:35 p.m. timeslot and that the details could be ironed out by Tuesday. He also referred to Conan O’Brien as a "great guy."
